I love it when a client comes in and asks me about the benefits of Bamboo flooring. Bamboo is really a grass and grows accordingly. While a hardwood tree may take 15 to 30 years before harvesting, bamboo usually requires between 3 to 6 years. In addition to this the hardness scale puts it above red oak. So if you’re looking for the ultimate “green” product, bamboo should be a product you should check out.

An easy way to spice up a Bathroom.

Just the other day I was helping my customer plan a small bathroom(6 x 8). She wanted to add some design element but was afraid that the small size of her bathroom would be a problem. We wanted to do ceramic tile and we wanted to add a small amount of design. After showing her a few ideas we decided to go with a small-scale tile ( 2″ x 2″) with a contrasting deco that would harmonize with her tub that was not getting changed. The result is a clean design with a bit of pop that takes a bath form “ho hum” to “WOW”.

This time of year is a great time to brush up on your floor covering cleaning skills. Whether it’s carpeting, ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, area rugs, you need to have a plan for cleaning your floors. I like to have the manufactures cleaning products at hand. The nice about this is that the cleaner is just the right strength for the job..why work harder than you have to? Just like your car, your need to maintain your floor covering investment for best results. Spending a little time now will save you alot of time and $ later.
